Described as having “timbered and colorful playing” by Midi Libre, Julia Reddy seeks to bring nuanced sounds and a creative approach to classical music. Comfortable both on stage as a performer, as a teacher, and in a studio as arranger and composer, Julia is a versatile musician with many interests.
In an effort to connect emerging classical musicians with a local audience, Julia founded Music at Westmount, a monthly classical concert series in the Montreal area.
A passionate music educator, she has a violin studio where she specializes in teaching adults of all level. Julia also founded the Firehouse Summer Music Camp in 2016, the first city-sponsored music camp in her hometown. She directs the program and teaches music to kids and teens in California every summer.
Julia graduated with B.Mus in violin performance from the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, where she studied with Axel Strauss.
